Environmental/ Weather Risks

Most property or liability policies tend to exclude environmental damage either absolutely or may only provide limited coverage. For this reason, there are separate policies that cater to bodily injury, property damage, or legal costs associated with accidental environmental contamination or pollution. Such policies come in both liability (third party) or self-coverage (e.g. to provide for cleanup costs after a toxic spill, perhaps at your own premises, even when there no third party legal action expected).

There are numerous pollution forms available. Sometimes even the way the word ‘pollutant’ is defined in a policy may be a critical factor in determining whether an insurer would entertain a claim or not. Our team of experts can help you determine whether a particular policy wording is as per your requirements.
